Bathurst Manor was developed in the fifties and sixties along Bathurst north of Sheppard, and it has been a centre of Toronto’s Jewish community for most of that time — with the synagogues, schools and community institutions that follow. The housing is postwar: bungalows, side-splits and two-storey homes on wide lots with private drives, many now renovated or rebuilt. Sheppard West and Wilson stations are within reach, and the 401 is close. It is a quiet, established neighbourhood where houses are frequently held for decades and sold within the community.
