Neighbourhood guide  /  Midtown

Humewood-Cedarvale

Solid brick houses either side of the Cedarvale ravine.

Humewood-Cedarvale straddles the Cedarvale ravine north-west of St Clair and Bathurst, and the ravine is the neighbourhood’s defining feature — a wide green corridor with trails running through the middle of it. The housing is largely interwar brick, detached and semi-detached, on decent lots and generally well maintained. It has a settled, family-oriented character, good schools, and prices that have historically sat below Forest Hill immediately to the east while offering comparable house size. Buyers frequently discover it after being priced out elsewhere in midtown and then stay.
