Postwar housing between Eglinton and the 401, with the Humber to the east.
Richview covers the area between Eglinton and the 401 west of the Humber, and it is a settled postwar neighbourhood of bungalows and two-storey houses on regular lots, with pockets of apartment buildings along the arterials. The Humber River valley runs along its eastern edge, providing genuine parkland and trail access. It is convenient for drivers — the 401, 427 and 400 are all reachable — and has historically offered detached houses at prices well below comparable stock further east. Transit is bus-based, though the Eglinton Crosstown extension will change that.
Postwar bungalows and detached houses; mid-century apartment buildings on the main streets.
Families, first-time house buyers, and buyers moving west for value.
The 32 Eglinton West and 37 Islington buses; the Eglinton Crosstown West extension is planned to serve the area.
Highway 401 forms the northern edge. Check noise on the streets closest to it.
