Birch Cliff sits on the tableland above the western Scarborough Bluffs, immediately east of the Beaches, and it has drawn steady interest from buyers priced out of that neighbourhood. The housing is largely interwar and postwar — bungalows and one-and-a-half storey houses on lots that are wider than anything comparable to the west — and the rebuild and second-storey addition cycle has been running for years.
