Cliffside

Postwar housing above the bluffs, quieter and more affordable than Birch Cliff.

Cliffside continues east from Birch Cliff along the tableland above the bluffs, and it follows a similar pattern a few years behind — postwar bungalows and small detached houses on generous lots, with renovation and rebuilding increasing steadily. It is quieter and more affordable than its western neighbour, with the same access to the bluff parks and the lake below. Kingston Road runs through it, and the neighbourhood has the everyday commercial mix of a settled residential area rather than a destination strip.

Housing stock

Postwar bungalows and detached houses on wide lots; some newer rebuilds.

Who buys here

Families, first-time house buyers, and buyers seeking lot size near the lake.

Transit

The 12 Kingston Road and 20 Cliffside buses; Scarborough GO on the Lakeshore East line.

Worth checking

The bluff face is actively eroding in places. Check the setback and any conservation requirements.
