Distillery District

Victorian industrial buildings, pedestrian lanes and a small stock of lofts.

The Distillery is a preserved Victorian industrial complex — cobbled pedestrian lanes, brick and stone warehouses, no cars — with a small number of residential buildings around and above it. The heritage core is a destination, which means a steady flow of visitors, markets and events that residents either enjoy or learn to route around. Residential inventory is limited: a handful of condominium towers at the edges and a small stock of true loft conversions. Because supply is so constrained and the setting is genuinely unusual, values here have held well and turnover is low.

Housing stock

Loft conversions and condominium towers at the perimeter of the heritage district.

Who buys here

Design-minded buyers, downsizers, and second-home owners who want a lock-and-leave in the core.

Transit

The 504 King and 121 bus; Cherry Street and the King streetcar connect west into the core.

Worth checking

Foot traffic during markets and the winter season is heavy. Visit during an event before deciding.
