Sunnylea is a compact and well-regarded pocket south of Bloor near Royal York, developed largely in the twenties and thirties on former orchard land. The streets curve, the lots are generous, and the housing is period — Tudor and colonial revival homes with mature trees and deep gardens, many carefully maintained or sympathetically extended. It is quiet, it is close to Royal York station, and it trades relatively infrequently. Buyers here are typically comparing it to the Kingsway and choosing it for the slightly smaller scale and the setting.
