Neighbourhood guide  /  Midtown

Davisville Village

Modest houses, mature trees and a strong family presence just south of Eglinton.

Davisville Village sits between Davisville and Eglinton, east of Yonge, and it is one of the most consistently family-oriented pockets in midtown. The houses are smaller than in Lawrence Park or Leaside — mostly two-storey brick semis and detached homes on narrow lots — which has kept it accessible to buyers who want a house on the subway line without the price of the neighbourhoods further north. It has a good stock of schools, the Beltline trail at its southern edge, and enough retail on Mount Pleasant to serve daily needs. Renovation activity is constant, and second-storey additions are common.

Housing stock

Two-storey semis and detached houses on narrow lots; some low-rise apartments along the main streets.

Who buys here

Families with young children, first-time move-up buyers, and long-term residents.

Transit

Davisville and Eglinton stations on the Yonge line; the Bayview and Mount Pleasant bus routes.

Worth checking

Lot widths are tight and additions often need minor variances. Confirm what is achievable before planning.
