The Junction Triangle is defined literally by the three rail corridors that enclose it, which gives it hard edges and an unusually contained feel. It was industrial and working-class housing for most of its history, and the transformation has been rapid — the West Toronto Railpath running along one edge, new mid-rise development, and steady renovation of the small Victorian and Edwardian houses that make up most of the stock. Bloor GO and UP Express at the southern corner have improved access considerably. The rail is both the neighbourhood’s defining constraint and, through the Railpath, one of its better amenities.
